I know it’s a classic, and a lot of people will have read it already, but I still want to recommend I know why the caged bird sings by Maya Angelou.

I just read it for the first time this summer and was blown away. Not only by her story but also by her poetic and insightful way of describing situations, people, places …

Secondly I would like to recommend the album A Museum Of Contradiction by Mk.Gee. He has to be one of my favourite producers of the past few years, producing for the likes of Dijon and Omar Apollo.

He has such a recognisable, deep and layered sound that I love. The drums sound incredible, the synths and guitars otherworldly. I can really get lost in it and it’s probably the album that I went back to the most since it came out in 2020.

Perdido de Amor (Lost in Love) by Luiz Bonfá has been something that recently has grasped me.

My ears have somewhat fallen in love with Portuguese music in the last few months and this song specifically has been one I keep returning to the most, because of what it speaks off but also just how it’s calmness makes me drift away.

Nils Hoffmann

I love the Universal Audio plug ins and the Spitfire Audio libraries. They've really elevated my sound.

Jonas Colstrup

I would recommend Arcadiana: VI. O Albion by Thomas Adès in the Calder Quartet version. It’s an amazingly written piece brilliantly performed and recorded.

"Living Torch I" by Kali Malone. Another sublime piece and recording to me in its subtilty and simple beauty.

Klaudia Kudełko

Bottega Veneta Mini Jodie - timeless piece. The reason why I love Bottega is because it does not “scream” with any logos, it only has its signature style that is recognizable by people who really love fashion.

But there are also pieces with logos that I love like Fendi Baguette. I recommend their vintage baguettes, I like them even more than new collections.

Book: Too Much and Not the Mood by Durga Chew-Bose; Song: ‘A Reminder’ - Radiohead

Aeondelit

Pharmako-AI By K Allado-McDowell; La Jetée By Chris Marker

Jenny Penkin

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, a wonderful book by Mark Haddon.

And an album I love: Ha Jardin by Gabriel Garzon-Montano

Maryanna Devlin

I think everyone should hear the song "Jesus Shot Me In The Head" by Hiss Golden Messenger on his album Bad Debt, and I think everyone should read East Of Eden by John Steinbeck. You need to push through the first 75 pages or so because it's a little wordy, but then the story gets really interesting.

One has to be my mum Chris Wood and her dichroic window. These pictures are taken from my parents' house and it’s just incredible the change in colour of the room throughout the day, especially in summer.

"Las Vegas Tango" - Gil Evans. A recent discovery for me. I know Gil mainly for his work with Miles Davis but this piece taken from his album The individualism of Gil Evans really stood out for me. Incredible writing, arranging and use of instrumentation.

Claudia Kane

‘Big Magic’ by Elizabeth Gilbert.

I've read it and listened to the audiobook a couple of times and It has healed me in those moments I feel too lost in my head to create fully and put myself out there, so I highly recommend it. /

‘Where Should We Begin?’ by Esther Perel is a podcast series. Esther Perel is a relationship psychologist and the way she explores human connection is absolutely art.
